Overnight Camps

Since its inception in 2015, MeWater has offered free overnight camps to its youth. MeWater holds most of the overnight camps on Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County. These camps provide expanded opportunities for surfing, outdoor exploration, and camping experience. Our kids tell us they want to smell the Redwoods and sit around a campfire telling stories

We have also been hearing from our participants that they want MORE overnight camps and expanded experiences. In August 2021, we took our first group of MeWater kids river rafting on the American River. The overnight camp experience was a huge success, and we have made our overnight river trips a part of our summer programming since, hosting overnight trips in 2022 and 2023.

MeWater is all about taking kids to explore outdoor environments. We have been hitting our beaches and parks, and now we want to head out to the mountains and rivers and offer new adventures. Look for more rafting trips on our calendar and a much anticipated Tahoe snow excursion, along with expanded overnight camp offerings.

These camps will always be free for our youth and families! Thanks to our volunteers and supporters who enable us to serve our community.
