MeWater holds Overnight Camps at Mt Tamalpais and beyond.

Overnight Camps

Since its inception in 2015, MeWater has offered free overnight camps to its youth. MeWater holds most of the overnight camps at Alice Eastwood Campground at Mt. Tamalpais and Samuel P. Taylor State Park.

These camps provide expanded opportunities for surfing, outdoor exploration, and camping experience. Our kids tell us they want to smell the Redwoods and sit around a campfire, telling stories.

We have also heard from our participants that they want MORE overnight camps and expanded experiences.

In August 2021, we took our first group of MeWater kids river rafting on the American River. The overnight camp experience was a huge success, and we have made our overnight river trips a part of our summer programming.

MeWater is all about taking kids to explore outdoor environments. We have been hitting our beaches and parks, and now we want to head out to the mountains and rivers and offer new adventures. Look for more rafting trips on our calendar, a much anticipated Tahoe snow excursion, and expanded overnight camp offerings.

These camps will always be free for our youth and families! Thanks to our volunteers and supporters who enable us to serve our community.
